Account and Data Deletion

Last updated: 11 September 2026

This page explains how to delete your SuriGO account and the data connected to it, and what happens after you do. It covers both SuriGO apps: the customer app and the driver app.

SuriGO is operated by VENESEY IMPORT & EXPORT N.V., Jozef Israelsstraat 47, Paramaribo, Suriname, registered in Suriname under KKF no. 82430.

You do not need to install or reopen the app to use this page. If you no longer have the app, use the email route in section 4.

1. Short summary

2. Before you ask us to delete

Please take care of these first. Deleting the account does not do any of them for you.

3. Route A — delete inside the SuriGO app

This is the fastest route and it takes effect immediately. You will need your account password, so if you have forgotten it, reset it before you start.

If you sign in with Google and never set a password, the in-app route will not work for you — use route B below. Password reset works by SMS to the phone number on the account, so it also needs a phone number to be registered.

Customer app

  1. Open SuriGO and sign in.
  2. Tap Menu in the bottom bar.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the list and tap Delete Account, shown in red.
  4. The screen asks you to confirm. Type your current account password.
  5. Tap Submit.

Driver app

  1. Open the SuriGO driver app and sign in.
  2. Tap More in the bottom bar.
  3. Tap your name and photo at the top to open Manage Account.
  4. Tap Delete Account.
  5. Type your current account password and tap Submit.

If the password is wrong, the app tells you so and nothing is deleted. When it works, the app signs you out and returns to the start screen.

4. Route B — ask us by email, without the app

If you have uninstalled the app, lost the phone, or cannot sign in, write to us at contato@surigoapp.com with the subject Delete my SuriGO account.

So that we delete the right account, please include:

We reply to the registered address to confirm that the request really comes from you before we delete anything, and we may ask one question that only the account holder can answer. We will never ask you for your password by email.

In the same message you may also ask us to erase items that the in-app route leaves in place: your profile photo, your saved delivery addresses, your shopping lists and favourites, your chat messages, or the identity documents on a driver account. Erasing those is done by hand, as part of a manual review, which we complete within the 30 days stated in section 5. We do not erase the records marked required in section 6.

5. How long it takes

6. What is deleted and what we keep

We would rather tell you exactly what happens than promise a clean sweep we do not perform. This is what deletion really does.

Data Removed on deletion? What happens to it
Access to the account Yes, immediately You are signed out and the account is closed. Your email address and phone number are tagged as removed, so neither can be used to sign in again.
Account record: name, email, phone No Kept in a closed state, with the email and phone tagged as removed. It stays until we erase it, on request or during a clean-up.
Profile photo No Kept in our file storage. Ask us by email and we will erase it in a manual review, within the 30 days stated in section 5.
Saved delivery addresses No Kept in our database as your saved address book, separately from the orders. Ask us by email and we will erase them in a manual review, within the 30 days stated in section 5.
Shopping lists, favourites and referral records No Kept in our database; you lose access to them. Ask us by email and we will erase them in a manual review, within the 30 days stated in section 5.
Order, delivery and ride history, including pick-up and drop-off addresses No — required Kept as the record of a completed transaction: accounting, fraud prevention, and any complaint or dispute that can still be raised about it.
Prescription photos you uploaded for a pharmacy order No Kept with the order they belong to. Ask us by email and we will erase them in a manual review, within the 30 days stated in section 5.
Delivery proof: the photo and the signature taken at hand-over No — required Kept as proof that the order was delivered, and to whom.
Name, phone and address of people you sent a parcel to No — required Kept with the delivery record, as part of the transaction.
Payments, wallet balance and wallet statement No — required Kept as the accounting record of money that moved.
Payout account and earnings records (drivers) No — required Kept as the record of what was paid to you and when.
Ratings and reviews you wrote No They stay published, because they are part of the rating of a store or a driver. Ask us by email if you want yours taken down; we do that by hand, within the 30 days stated in section 5.
Driver documents: ID-Kaart or Paspoort, Rijbewijs, and vehicle papers No Kept with the driver file, including earlier versions of a document you replaced. Ask us by email and we will erase them in a manual review, within the 30 days stated in section 5, unless we are required to keep them.
Vehicle details, including the plate (drivers) No Kept with the driver file, as part of the record of the trips it was used for.
Driver location No We store only your last known position, overwritten every time it is updated, and it stays until we erase it. We do not build a route history from it; a position update that fails to reach the map can leave a dated copy in our error queue for a short period.
Chat messages with a store or a driver No These are stored by Google Cloud Firestore rather than in our own database, and the in-app deletion does not reach them. Ask us by email and we will erase them in a manual review, within the 30 days stated in section 5.
Phone number held for SMS sign-in codes No Held by Google Firebase Authentication, which sends the code. The in-app deletion does not reach it. Ask us by email and we will erase it in a manual review, within the 30 days stated in section 5.
Push notification and app session tokens Yes, when you delete in the app Deleting in the app signs the device out and removes the push tokens, so notifications stop. If you ask us by email, we remove them on our side in the same review; a phone that still has the app installed may keep receiving general announcements until you uninstall it.
Sign-in log: date, IP address and device No — required Kept as a security record, so an attempt to take over an account can still be investigated afterwards.
Backup copies Not immediately We keep a daily backup of the whole system for 14 days. Deleted data still exists inside those copies until they expire. We do not use a backup to bring a deleted account back.

The rows marked required are the ones we will not erase on request. They are the record of money and of things that happened, and we may need them for accounting, for fraud prevention, or to answer a complaint or an official request.

How long each of these is kept, and why, is written in our Privacy Policy.

7. What you lose

8. Coming back later

You can create a new SuriGO account later with the same email address or phone number. It will be a completely new account: no balance, no points, no history, and for drivers no approval is carried over from the old one.

9. Questions

If anything on this page is unclear, or you want to know what we still hold about you, write to contato@surigoapp.com. Our Privacy Policy explains in full what we collect and who receives it.
