SuriGO Payment Terms

Last updated: 11 September 2026

These Payment Terms explain how you pay for orders, parcels and rides on SuriGO, what the price is made of, and when the money leaves your pocket. They apply to everyone who uses the SuriGO customer app in Suriname. They are part of our Terms of Use, and they work together with our Refund Policy and our Cancellation Policy.

1. Who are you paying?

SuriGO is a platform that connects you with independent stores, restaurants, pharmacies, couriers and drivers. SuriGO is not the seller of the goods and does not drive you itself. The store prepares and sells what you order; the courier or driver performs the delivery or the trip.

SuriGO collects payment on their behalf and passes the money on to them, less our commission. The platform is operated by VENESEY IMPORT & EXPORT N.V., Jozef Israelsstraat 47, Paramaribo, Suriname, registered under KKF no. 82430.

When you pay in cash, you hand the money to the store or to the courier at the door. SuriGO is not part of that moment; we settle with the store and the courier afterwards.

2. Currency and prices

Every price in the app is in Surinamese Dollars (SRD). Item prices are set by each store, not by SuriGO, and a store can change its prices at any time. The price that counts is the one shown in the order summary at the moment you confirm.

Before you confirm anything, the app shows you the complete summary: items, delivery fee, any store fees, tax, tip, discounts and the final total. Nothing is added after that screen.

There is an upper limit on the value of a single order, and individual payment methods may carry their own minimum or maximum amounts. If your basket falls outside those limits, the app tells you before you pay.

3. What the total is made of

SuriGO does not add a separate platform service fee to your order today. If that ever changes, the fee will appear as its own line in the price breakdown before you pay, and it will be described here first.

4. The delivery fee is paid in cash

This is the part people are most often surprised by, so we say it plainly. On SuriGO the courier collects the delivery fee in cash at the door. That is true even when you pay for the rest of the order online or from your wallet balance.

What this means in practice:

Rides work differently: the fare is a single amount, paid in full either in cash to the driver or from your wallet balance.

5. Payment methods you can use today

Which methods are switched on can change. The list shown to you at checkout is the one that is actually available, and it is the authoritative one.

6. When you are charged

7. How ride fares are calculated

A ride fare is built from three parts, all set per vehicle type: a base fare, an amount per kilometre of the trip, and an amount per minute of estimated driving time. If the sum comes out below the minimum fare for that vehicle type, the minimum fare applies instead. Any ride tax is added on top and shown separately.

The fare is quoted before you confirm, and that is what you pay. SuriGO does not recalculate the fare at the end of the trip from the actual time taken, and does not apply surge pricing. If the trip takes longer than estimated, the price does not go up.

If you pay a ride with wallet balance, the full fare is taken when you book. If you pay in cash, you pay the driver at the end.

8. Your SuriGO wallet

The wallet is a prepaid balance held in your SuriGO account.

9. Tips, coupons and loyalty points

10. Receipts and records

Every order and every ride has a code and a full price breakdown that stays in your order history in the app. You also receive an e-mail when an order is completed.

SuriGO does not issue tax invoices for the goods you buy. The store you bought from is the seller, and any fiscal document for those goods is the store's responsibility.

11. If something goes wrong with a payment

Write to us at contato@surigoapp.com with your order code and a description of what happened. That includes a payment that was taken but where the order never appeared, a charge you do not recognise, a wallet top-up that never arrived, or a transfer sent to the wrong person.

Please talk to us before you ask your bank to reverse a payment. A reversal freezes your account until it is settled, and we can usually fix the problem faster than the bank can.

If we find that an account is being used for fraud, for payments that are later reversed, or to abuse promotions, we may suspend it and hold any balance while we investigate. If the investigation clears you, we release the balance.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Payment Terms. The version on this page is always the one in force, and the date at the top tells you when it last changed. If we change how or when you are charged, we will tell you in the app or by e-mail before it takes effect.
